BSA Announcements
The BSA/DUBAC Luncheon will be held THIS SATURDAY at 12:00 pm in the Mary Lou Williams Center. Ever wonder what your life will be like 5 years post graduation? The annual Julian Abele Awards Ceremony will be held THIS FRIDAY at 6:00 pm in the Searle Center. The Abele Awards is sponsored by the Black Graduate and Professional Student Association and Black Student Alliance. Campus Announcements
This is Center for Race Relations Week! CRR will host many different events this week. Expect a fantastic BBQ on Monday with free shirts, food and fun. Also, Don't miss out on our interesting dialogues, free stuff, parties and a week filled with fantastic events and opportunities to mix and mingle with your fellow Dukies. Applications for the University and Cultural Funds are now being accepted for 08-09 school year programs. $200, 000 will be available for any undergraduate student organizations with an OSAF fund code. The funding application and detailed information is found online at http://mcc.studentaffairs.duke.edu/resources/ucfund/overview.html The final deadline for these funds is Friday, April 11, 2008.

Monday, April 7
The Omega Zeta Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. presents Movies with Omega at 8:00 pm (sharp) in the Mary Lou Williams Center. Come early for free food and drinks and enjoy a showing of "The Great Debaters," a movie about an Omega Man, Melvin B. Tolson, played by Denzel Washington!


Tuesday, April 8
The Omega Zeta Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. presents Omega Hop-Off Yard Show at 1:00 pm on the BC Plaza. Take a break between classes and see an amazing yard show by all the surrounding Bruhz of Que Psi Phi!!


Wednesday, April 9
The Girls' Club Interest Meeting/Mentee Recruitment at 6:00 pm at the Emily K Center for Family Life. This will be the last TGC meeting with the young girls of the school year and an open invitation for all Duke females interested in mentoring a Durham middle school girl in the upcoming academic year.

Students for Choice present "Silent Choices" at 7:00 pm in Soc Sci 113. "Silent Choices" is about abortion and its impact on the lives of African American women. The film is a "hybrid" documentary: part historical piece, part social and religious analysis and part first-person narrative. From African Americans' cautious involvement with Margaret Sanger during the early birth control movement to black nationalists and civil rights activists who staunchly opposed abortion (or stayed silent on the issue), "Silent Choices" examines the juxtaposition of racial and reproductive politics. Dinner will be served. Stay after the film for an in-depth discussion.

The Omega Zeta Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. presents the "Strictly Business" Forum at 8:11 pm in Von Canon C, featuring expert speakers on interview ettiQUEte, resume writing, job searching, etc. Come OWT and learn the Do's and Dont's!!

Jazz at the Mary Lou at 9:30 pm in the Julian Abele Hall, Mary Lou Williams Center. Enjoy live performances by local musicians as well as Duke music students, with special guest artists all brought together by John Brown, Director of the Duke Jazz Studies Program. Light hors d'oeuvres and liquid refreshment will be provided with the option to enjoy late night fare and drinks in the Faculty Commons provided by Sage & Swift.


Thursday, April 10
The Omega Zeta Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. presents "OWTstanding Women" Appreciation Dinner at 8:11 pm at the Devil's Den (Central Campus). Come enjoy an evening of fine cuisine and chivalry with special presentations to OWTstanding women. 10 points.

The Omega Zeta Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. presents Que Dawg Field Day at 4:00 pm on East Campus Quad. Que Psi Phi is taking it back to elementary school and the good old fun day events!! Come enjoy sack races, balloon toss, 3-legged race, etc. There will also be refreshments! The Alpha Alpha Chi Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., DUU, Campus Council, and DSG present Roc The Mic at 1:00 pm on the BC Plaza. United in Praise Spring Experience at 3:00 pm at Asbury United Methodist Church (right off East Campus). Come out to the annual spring concert for United in Praise Gospel Choir and Praise Dance Ministry. The event will feature CJ Rhodes of the Duke Divinity School and UNC's Gospel Choir. Bring friends and family, it will be an experience like no other!

Break Into The Music Conference on Wednesday, April 9 from 8:00 am - 11:00 pm at North Carolina Central University. Break into the Music is a program dedicated to facilitating a direct relationship between driven college students and the music and media industry’s elite companies. Our goal is to promote the importance of a college education to all youth nationwide through music and media outlets and to impact the lives of the brightest college students by offering them internship and employment opportunities in the extremely competitive Media and Entertainment industries. This tour will feature four elements of experience for students to benefit from. Options for the day include, a career fair, engaging in forum workshops, a Q& A lecturer series given by a Media and Entertainment Executive and concluding with the “Rap, Rock & Roll” concert which will be sponsored by Capitol Records. End of School Year Blowout at 11:00 pm at L.T. Walker Complex, North Carolina Central University. Sponsored by NCCU, NC State & Duke, this pre-dawn party is an attempt to bring students at surrounding universities together.
