"Davis Projects for Peace" is an opportunity for undergraduates to receive funding for innovative grassroots project to be implemented this coming summer. Chorale Christmas Concert at 7:00 pm in Duke Chapel. Come join the Duke Chorale for a night of carols, songs, and sing-a-longs that benefits the Duke community. Admission is free, but please, bring a canned food item (or more). Every year all food collected at the concert is donated to the Durham rescue mission.

On the Reel: Black Love & Relationships Film Series presents "Jason's Lyric" at 7:30 pm in the Mary Lou Williams Center. This series is being held in collaboration with WOMENST150S/AAAS199S - Black Love: Romantic Relationships and the African American Experience taught by Dr. Chanequa Walker-Barnes. Jazz at the Mary Lou at 9:30 pm in the Julian Abele Hall, Mary Lou Williams Center. Enjoy live performances by local musicians as well as Duke music students, with special guest artists all brought together by John Brown, Director of the Duke Jazz Studies Program. The Lambda Omega Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. presents "Red Lounge" at 7:00 pm in the LGBT Center. Come enjoy an evening of mingling and entertainment while learning more about HIV/AIDS. Duke students will showcase music, dance and spoken word. Hors d'oeurves will be served and free HIV testing will be provided. Cocktail attire is requested.

"Doin' Time: Through the Visiting Glass" at 7:00 pm in Duke Coffeehouse (Crowell Building), East Campus. Come see a play about the impact of incarceration on families, written and performed by Ashley Lucas. Using her training in ethnography, Lucas conducted interviews in California, Texas, and New York with prisoners' family members, former prisoners, and people who do work connected to prisons or prison activism.

Saturday, December 1

The Duke Student National Medical Association (SNMA) presents its Annual Fundraising Silent Auction at 7:00 pm the Mary Lou. Entrance is $5 and the attire is elegantly casual. Buffet style meal and entertainment will be provided. Funds will be used to support the annual activities of the SNMA, including medical trips to Congo, Gambia and Dominican Republic, merit scholarships to deserving high school students starting college, etc.

Duke University's Wind Symphony presents "Viennese Ball 2007" at 7:00 pm in the Freeman Center. Tickets will be on sale Monday through Friday between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm on the Plaza. The cost is $12 for students in CASH only.

BSA Announcements
The Black Student Alliance would like to ask everyone who received at t-shirt at 007: On a Mission for Darfur to wear their t-shirt on Monday, November 12th in order to raise awareneses about past and current world crises for Genocide Awareness Week.

Genocide Awareness Week will have fundraisers of t-shirt sales, bracelets and more with a coalition of Discover Worlds, Duke Chapel, BSA, Duke Africa, Muslim Students Association, Human Rights Coalition, Community Service Center, Amnesty International, International Students Association and more.

The Black Student Alliance will be hosting "A Family Affair" on Sunday, November 18th at 5:00 pm in the Mary Lou Williams Center. Join your Duke family for good food and fellowship, as the students of BSA, SOCA, and Duke Africa. Various dishes will provide a look into the cultures of the many family tables represented. Stay around for football on the big screen, activities, and fellowship throughout the meal. The Omicron Nu Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. presents Founder's Day. The chapter will be tabling on the Plaza for Operation BigBookBag school supplies drive from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. They will be collecting bookbags, notebooks, writing and drawing paper, pencils and pens, dictionaries, rulers, glue, construction paper, textbooks, typewriters, computers and many other needed school items for disadvantaged students in Jamaica.

"Two Flawed to Fix" at 7:00 pm in White Lecture Hall, East Campus. Come see "Two Flawed to Fix," the second film of the Human Rights Film Festival, going on every Tuesday in the month of November. The Illinois death penalty emphasizes the presence of human rights abuses in our nation.

The Classical Theatre of Harlem presents Shakespeare's "Romeo & Juliet" at 8:00 pm in Reynolds Industries Theater (Bryan Center). This bold reinterpretation of Romeo and Juliet portrays the Shakespearean romance as a story of race and bloodshed in modern-day Harlem. Fresh from a premiere run in New York, the play turns West Indian and hip-hop tempos into a tragedy of unique physical force. *Note* There is a second performance on Saturday at 8:00 pm.

Second Annual United Nations Association Film Festival beginning at 12:00 pm in White Lecture Hall, East Campus. This film festival will last until 10:30 pm and features films made by independent film directors that address topics such as gender, environmental, and human rights issues. "A Radical Rainbow Coalition": Event with Former Black Panther and Young Lords Member, Denise Oliver-Velez at 5:30 pm in White Lecture Hall, East Campus. Denise will be giving a lecture as part of the Mutlicultural Center's "Identities in Movement" series, which aims to offer insights into the interrelation of race, class, gender, and sexuality in the context of social change. Denise will assist us in understanding "identity" within the context of community struggles for justice, democracy, and dignity.

NPHC Annual Homecoming Step-Show Competition at 8:00 pm in Page Auditorium. Come early to get seats and be ready to see stepping like you've never seen before!
