The Multicultural Resume Book is a collection of resumes to distribute to all interested employers during Career Conference 2008, the Diversity Dinner, and other career events during the Spring semester. Duke's First Annual Dance Exposition at 7:00 pm in Page Auditorium, West Campus. Watch as all of Duke's premier dance groups come together for the first time ever, under one roof, and present the best
that they have to offer. Featured Performance Groups include Chinese Folk Dance, DefMo, Lasya, Sabrosura, United in Praise Dance, On Tap, Dance Slam, Momentum, and Dance Black. Admission is free to the public; get there early to reserve your seat! Doors open at 6:30 pm.

The Iota Mu Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and the Omega Zeta Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. present "The P&G Affair" at 9:00 pm in the Devils Den. Pink and Green. Friday, November 30
The Lambda Omega Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. presents "Red Lounge" at 7:00 pm in the LGBT Center. Come enjoy an evening of mingling and entertainment while learning more about HIV/AIDS. Duke students will showcase music, dance and spoken word. Hors d'oeurves will be served and free HIV testing will be provided. Cocktail attire is requested.

"Doin' Time: Through the Visiting Glass" at 7:00 pm in Duke Coffeehouse (Crowell Building), East Campus. Come see a play about the impact of incarceration on families, written and performed by Ashley Lucas. Using her training in ethnography, Lucas conducted interviews in California, Texas, and New York with prisoners' family members, former prisoners, and people who do work connected to prisons or prison activism.

Saturday, December 1

The Duke Student National Medical Association (SNMA) presents its Annual Fundraising Silent Auction at 7:00 pm the Mary Lou. Entrance is $5 and the attire is elegantly casual. Buffet style meal and entertainment will be provided. Funds will be used to support the annual activities of the SNMA, including medical trips to Congo, Gambia and Dominican Republic, merit scholarships to deserving high school students starting college, etc.

Duke University's Wind Symphony presents "Viennese Ball 2007" at 7:00 pm in the Freeman Center. Tickets will be on sale Monday through Friday between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm on the Plaza. The cost is $12 for students in CASH only.

BSA Announcements
The Black Student Alliance would like to ask everyone who received at t-shirt at 007: On a Mission for Darfur to wear their t-shirt on Monday, November 12th in order to raise awareneses about past and current world crises for Genocide Awareness Week.

Genocide Awareness Week will have fundraisers of t-shirt sales, bracelets and more with a coalition of Discover Worlds, Duke Chapel, BSA, Duke Africa, Muslim Students Association, Human Rights Coalition, Community Service Center, Amnesty International, International Students Association and more.

The Black Student Alliance will be hosting "A Family Affair" on Sunday, November 18th at 5:00 pm in the Mary Lou Williams Center. Join your Duke family for good food and fellowship, as the students of BSA, SOCA, and Duke Africa. Various dishes will provide a look into the cultures of the many family tables represented. Stay around for football on the big screen, activities, and fellowship throughout the meal. The Omicron Nu Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. presents Founder's Day. The chapter will be tabling on the Plaza for Operation BigBookBag school supplies drive from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. They will be collecting bookbags, notebooks, writing and drawing paper, pencils and pens, dictionaries, rulers, glue, construction paper, textbooks, typewriters, computers and many other needed school items for disadvantaged students in Jamaica.

From Princeton Univeristy's Relision and African American Studies Departments, Glaude will speak on the topic of "Publics, Prosperity, and Politics: The Changing Face of African American Christianity and Black Political Life."

ONE Kind of Love: An intercultural relationship game night/discussion. Theta Nu Xi Multicultural Sorority, Inc., Psi Sigma Phi Multicultural Fraternity, In.c, La Unidad Latina Lambda Upsilon Lambda Fraternity, Inc. and Latinas Promoviendo Comunidad Lambda Pi Chi Sorority, Inc. present a night of fun and games you'll never forget. Starting out Family Feud style, teams will compete to guess the answers to a survey handed out to a hundred people at Duke and UNC. This information will then be used in a discussion about all types of intercultural relationships - inter race, faith, community, etc.

"Black Gold" at 7:00 pm in White Lecture Hall, East Campus. Come see "Black Gold," The first film of the Human Rights Film Festival, going on every Tuesday in the month of November. Taking place in Ethiopia, the birthplace of coffee, the film follow Tedesse Meskela as he fights to save thousands of coffee farmers from bankruptcy. On the Reel: Black Love & Relationships Film Series presents "Jungle Fever" at 7:30 pm in the Mary Lou Williams Center. This series is being held in collaboration with WOMENST150S/AAAS199S - Black Love: Romantic Relationships and the African American Experience taught by Dr. Chanequa Walker-Barnes. Career 101 at 7:00 pm in the Social Psychology Building, Room 130 (West Campus). Hosted by the Diversity Liaison Team, come out to enjoy free food, receive information about minority internships, and learn about the importance of eRecruiting, Vault Guides, the Resume Book, networking opportunities, the Diversity Dinner, and Career Fairs and Conferences!

Jazz at the Mary Lou at 9:30 pm in the Julian Abele Hall, Mary Lou Williams Center. Enjoy live performances by local musicians as well as Duke music students, with special guest artists all brought together by John Brown, Director of the Duke Jazz Studies Program. Light hors d'oeuvres and liquid refreshment will be provided with the option to enjoy late night fare and drinks in the Faculty Commons provided by Sage & Swift.

Friday, November 9
The Classical Theatre of Harlem presents Shakespeare's "Romeo & Juliet" at 8:00 pm in Reynolds Industries Theater (Bryan Center). This bold reinterpretation of Romeo and Juliet portrays the Shakespearean romance as a story of race and bloodshed in modern-day Harlem. Fresh from a premiere run in New York, the play turns West Indian and hip-hop tempos into a tragedy of unique physical force. *Note* There is a second performance on Saturday at 8:00 pm.

Saturday, November 10
Second Annual United Nations Association Film Festival beginning at 12:00 pm in White Lecture Hall, East Campus. This film festival will last until 10:30 pm and features films made by independent film directors that address topics such as gender, environmental, and human rights issues. Blaze the Stage at 8:00 pm in Page Auditorium. Hosted by the Inter-Greek Council, come out and watch members from IGC, NPHC, Panhellenic and IFC organizations form teams to win Duke's Premier Strolling Competition. Tickets are $8 before the show and $10 at the door.
