BSA Announcements
The Black Student Alliance would like to encourage all minorities to contribute to the DLT Multicultural Resume Book. The Multicultural Resume Book is a collection of resumes to distribute to all interested employers during Career Conference 2008, the Diversity Dinner, and other career events during the Spring semester. At least ten students have already received jobs simply by virtue of being in the book! Don't miss out on this phenomenal opportunity. The first deadline is November 30, 2007. It will take place EVERY Monday night from 8-11pm in the Mary Lou Williams Center for Black Culture. There will be both a group work space and a quiet study area, so please come prepared to work hard! "The Day My God Died" at 7:00 pm in White Lecture Hall, East Campus. Come see "Two Flawed to Fix," the final film of the Human Rights Film Festival, going on every Tuesday in the month of November. In the brothels of India, the international child sex trade is exposed.

Thursday, November 29
Duke's First Annual Dance Exposition at 7:00 pm in Page Auditorium, West Campus. Watch as all of Duke's premier dance groups come together for the first time ever, under one roof, and present the best
that they have to offer. Featured Performance Groups include Chinese Folk Dance, DefMo, Lasya, Sabrosura, United in Praise Dance, On Tap, Dance Slam, Momentum, and Dance Black. Admission is free to the public; get there early to reserve your seat! Doors open at 6:30 pm.

The Iota Mu Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and the Omega Zeta Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. present "The P&G Affair" at 9:00 pm in the Devils Den. Pink and Green. Purple and Gold. Come out dressed to impress for an enchanting night filled with sumptuous food and wonderful music. Tickets will be sold on the Plaza (11 am - 4 pm) and in the Marketplace (6-9 pm). $15 Food/ $12 Cash or Flex for this semi-formal affair.

Friday, November 30
The Lambda Omega Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. presents "Red Lounge" at 7:00 pm in the LGBT Center. Come enjoy an evening of mingling and entertainment while learning more about HIV/AIDS. Duke students will showcase music, dance and spoken word. Hors d'oeurves will be served and free HIV testing will be provided. Cocktail attire is requested.

"Doin' Time: Through the Visiting Glass" at 7:00 pm in Duke Coffeehouse (Crowell Building), East Campus. Come see a play about the impact of incarceration on families, written and performed by Ashley Lucas. Using her training in ethnography, Lucas conducted interviews in California, Texas, and New York with prisoners' family members, former prisoners, and people who do work connected to prisons or prison activism.

Saturday, December 1

The Duke Student National Medical Association (SNMA) presents its Annual Fundraising Silent Auction at 7:00 pm the Mary Lou. Entrance is $5 and the attire is elegantly casual. Buffet style meal and entertainment will be provided. Funds will be used to support the annual activities of the SNMA, including medical trips to Congo, Gambia and Dominican Republic, merit scholarships to deserving high school students starting college, etc.

Duke University's Wind Symphony presents "Viennese Ball 2007" at 7:00 pm in the Freeman Center. Tickets will be on sale Monday through Friday between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm on the Plaza. The cost is $12 for students in CASH only.
