OSAF's Duke Destinations has two great trips planned for the following week:

*A trip to see The Regina Carter Quintet: Stewart Theatre on Saturday, November 3rd at 8:00 pm at North Carolina State University. Charter Bus will depart from West Campus bus stop at 6:30 pm. The Multicultural Center presents "Identities in Movement" series presents "Diversity without Domination," a lecture by Professor Michael Hardt at 5:30 pm in the Multicultural Center, Bryan Center. How can a politics of liberation practice diversity in a context where the forms of domination it confronts also rest fundamentally on diversity? The Black Seminarians' Union presents a discussion entitled "Not in Our Image: Redeeming Women of Color from Violence and Restoring the Imago Dei" at 12:20 pm in 0015 Westbrook (Divinity School). In solardity with the national 'Be Bold, Be Brave' Campaign, we will discuss the silencing of women of color in our society as well as the social and theological forces that contribute to that silencing.

This revival of Van Peebles' controversial experiment superimposes poetic form onto a story of junkies and whores, staging the gusty violence of revolutionary art. Durham Mayoral Forum at 6:30 pm in Page Auditorium, West Campus. Want to learn more about Durham politics? The Duke College Republicans and Duke Democrats are collaborarting to put together Duke's first-ever campus mayoral forum between incumbent Mayor Bill Bell and challenger City Councilman Thomas Stith. The candidates will be discussing their approaches to targeting crime and Duke-Durham relations, among other issues.

Student admission is $15 and general admission is $25. "Countdown to Change" is the Obama campaign's latest effort to allow grassroots supporters to contribute to the success of the campaign. This event is sponsored and paid for by Obama for America.

Would you like to attend the first national student conference on global warming? The conference is called Power Shift and will teach an expect 2, 500 participating university students about the solutions to global warming and how they can put those solutions into practice on campus, in the community, and in the political arena. Conversation with Osha Gray Davidson (author of "The Best of Enemies", Duke Summer Reading Program) and Ann Atwater at 6:00 pm in Griffith Film Theater, Bryan Center. The discussion will be followed by *Best Fest*, a reception and celebration at 7:00 pm in Perkins Library, featuring music by Cool John Ferguson and light refreshments. Conversation with Stanley Crouch at 4:00 pm in the Mary Lou Williams Center. Come to an opportunity to exchange ideas and discuss contemporary issues in music and the Black experience. Presented with the Department of Music and AAAS.

"A Radical Rainbow Coalition": Event with Former Black Panther and Young Lords Member, Denise Oliver-Velez at 5:30 pm in White Lecture Hall, East Campus. Denise will be giving a lecture as part of the Mutlicultural Center's "Identities in Movement" series, which aims to offer insights into the interrelation of race, class, gender, and sexuality in the context of social change. Denise will assist us in understanding "identity" within the context of community struggles for justice, democracy, and dignity.

NPHC Annual Homecoming Step-Show Competition at 8:00 pm in Page Auditorium. Come early to get seats and be ready to see stepping like you've never seen before! Doors open at 7:30 pm, show starts at 8:00 pm. Tickets available at the Box Office (919.684.4444). Tickets are $10 before, $12 at the door. Step-Show After Party in the Great Hall at 10:00 pm. BSA Homecoming BBQ at 3:30 pm on Main Quad, West Campus. Come celebrate Homecoming with the Duke football team! There will be food, music, and games...as well as t-shirts for the first 500 people to arrive!

President's Homecoming Dance at 9:30 pm in Wilson Gym. Last year's dance was a huge success, with more than 2,500 guests. Spectacular music, food, lighting, and guests will transform Wilson Gym into the best dance and dinner club in the East. Attire: festive, from business casual to cocktail.
