The Duke Global Health Institute presents "Notes from the Field: Principles and Practice of Medicine in the Developing World" by Dr. Jason Prystowsky from 6:00-8:00 pm in Schiciano Auditorium in CIEMAS. Prystowsky has an M.D./M.P.H. degree and works with Doctors without Borders.

The Career Center presents an Economic Stimulus Job Opportunities Information Session from 5:00-5:45 pm and 6:00-6:45 pm in Flowers 201. Duke is seeking applications from graduating seniors, graduate students, and recent graduates for positions on research projects.

Community Service Events
Saturday, April 25th
Duke NSBE is co-sponsoring A Walk for Education throughout the day at 2515 Apex Highway in Durham. Volunteers will walk door-to-door in predominantly Black communities, distributing information about area college admissions, vocational schools, GED, SAT/ACT, NSBE resources and financial aid. Registration begins at 7:30 am with groups starting to walk at 9:00 am.

DUU and Campus Council present LDOC 2009! Make sure to enjoy all of the festivities celebrating the last day of classes. Make your way to West Campus to enjoy food, fun and live performances!!

Cultural Events
Monday, April 20th
A screening of "Darius Goes West" will take place from 7:00-9:00 pm in White Lecture Hall. This documentary tells the story of a 15 year old boy who travels across the country with his friends to get MTV's "Pimp My Ride" to pimp out his wheelchair.

The Theater Studies Department presents a Shakespeare Workshop from 8:00-9:00 pm in Sheafer Theater in the BC. Enjoy this hour of scenes, monologues and songs performed in a bold and sexy way.

Tuesday, April 21st
InMotion Dance Group presents InMotion: A Repertory Group of Dance Black Showcase from 8:00-9:30 pm Reynolds Theater in the BC. Come release some stress while enjoying a dance production. Pick up a ticket from 5:00-8:00 pm in the Marketplace or e-mail Vanecie at vbd@duke.edu. Proceeds from the show will benefit Global Connections for Change. 

Thursday, April 23rd
The Theater Studies Department presents "This Is Madness!: A Black Theater Workshop" from 8:00-9:00 pm in Sheafer Theater in the BC. Watch your peers perform music, dance and scenes from Black plays from 1939-2009.

Freewater Presentations presents Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy from 8:00-9:30 pm in Griffith Film Theater in the BC.
