Academic Events
Thursday, January 15th
Study Abroad will be hosting Study Abroad 101 from 6:00-7:00 pm in Carr 136. This will be a general advising session to discuss study abroad opportunities and policies for Duke students interested in earning credit while abroad. Refreshments will be provided.

Career Opportunities
SEO Deadline for SEO Internship Positions
Sophomores and juniors interested in well-playing internships in finance or philanthropy should apply for an SEO internship position. Interns will gain exposure to CEOs and top executives of SEO partners through the SEO Summer Seminar Series, receive intensive training before and during the internship, and are supported by an extensive mentoring program. Tuesday, January 13th
The Career Center presents Career Fair Prep from 1:30-2:30 pm in LSRC B101 (Love Auditorium). This is your chance to prepare for the career and opportunity fairs on campus over the next couple of weeks.

Wednesday, January 14th
Resumes for the Multicultural Resume Book must be submitted through eRecruiting today. This will be distributed at the Diversity Networking Dinner on January 21st. If you need help with your resume, visit the Career Center during drop-in hours or schedule an appointment.

Social Events
Duke Destinations: Presidential Inauguration Trip to Washington, D.C. 
Tickets for transportation to/from Washington D.C. will be available for $20 in OSAF. Buses will leave at midnight on Monday, January 19th and return at midnight on Tuesday, January 20th.

Thursday, January 15th
The Iota Mu Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated presents a Founders' Day Celebration from 6:00-7:15 pm in the Mary Lou Williams Center. This reception will be held in honor of the founders of Alpha Kappa Alpha and the 101 years of supreme service and sisterhood. Refreshments will be served and business casual attire is preferred.

Friday, January 16th
El Kilombo is hosting Latin Night from 10:00 pm-2:00 am at Club 9. Proceeds will go towards the Durham-based El Kilombo community center.

Cultural Events
Sunday, January 18th
Duke University presents the 2009 Annual Service of Commemoration in Honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Reverend Joseph Lowery, co-founder with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC), will present a keynote address to celebrate the life and accomplishments of Dr. King. Musical performances will also take place.

The Center for Race Relations presents "me too Monologues" from 7:00-9:00 pm in Brodie Theater (next to Baldwin Auditorium). This show will showcase true stories written by members of the Duke community and will be performed by Duke students. The stories address issues of race, culture and ethnicity and speak to the raw experiences of our peers.

Wednesday, January 14th
Duke Men's Basketball plays Georgia Tech at 7:00 pm at Georgia Tech.

Friday, January 16th
Duke Women's Basketball plays Virginia Tech at 6:30 pm at Virginia Tech.

Saturday, January 17th
Duke Men's Basketball plays Georgetown at 1:30 pm in Cameron Indoor.
