Academic Events
Wednesday, January 28th
A Duke in Spain information meeting will take place at 5:00 pm in Allen 226. Meet with the faculty director of the program and learn more about this exciting opportunity

Thursday, January 29th
A Duke in France information meeting will take place at 7:00 pm in Languages 8. Duke in France alumni will be in attendance to answer questions and provide information about the program.

Friday, January 30th
The Boren Scholarship application deadline is at 5:00 pm to the Office of Undergraduate Scholars and Fellows (OUSF) in Smith Warehouse Room B209. 

The Poe Party will take place from 4:00-5:00 pm in the Mary Duke Biddle Room in Perkins Library. This event will celebrate Edgay Allen Poe's birthday with the reading of his poems and birthday treats.

Wednesday, January 28th
The Career Center presents a Networking Workshop for First-Years from 7:00-8:30 pm in East Duke 204B. This workshop will feature Career Center counselors who will be talking about what networking actually is about and how to do it well.

Thursday, January 29th
The Career Center presents a Networking Workshop for all students from 4:30-5:30 pm in Social Sciences 136. This workshop will teach you what exactly networking is, why it's important, and how to do it well. This is a great preparation for the Fannie Mitchell Career Conference.

Saturday, January 31st
The Career Center presents the Fannie Mitchell Career Conference from 12:00-7:30 pm in the Bryan Center. This event brings a large number of Duke alumni back to campus to talk about their experiences after graduation. This is a great opportunity to learn about a variety of careers and to practice networking skills. Make sure to register for this event through eRecruiting.

Tuesday, January 27th: Support a Black Business at 6:00 pm at the Know Bookstore and Restaurant. Meet at the West Campus bus stop at 5:30 pm for a ride.
Wednesday, January 28th: Black Male Appreciation at 9:00 pm at the Mary Lou Williams Center.
Thursday, January 29th: Karaoke from 7:00-9:00 pm at Armadillo Bar and Grill.
Friday, January 30th: Party from 10:00 pm-2:00 am at Blu Bar.

The Mary Lou Williams Center presents Jazz at the Mary Lou from 9:30 pm-12:00 am in the Mary Lou Williams Center.

Cultural Events
Monday, January 26th
A Senior Etiquette and Wine Tasting Dinner will take place from 6:00-9:00 pm at the Washington Duke Inn. This event is an opportunity to broaden your education. Learn proper etiquette for a business dinner. The event is only open to seniors and costs $25 to attend. Registration is required for this event.

Saturday, January 31st
The Mary Lou presents its 25th Anniversary Concert with the Geri Allen Trio and Patricia Barber Quartet from 8:00-9:00 pm in Reynolds Theater in the Bryan Center. Tickets cost $5 for students and can be purchased at the Box Office.

Friday, January 30th and Saturday, January 31st
Freewater Presentations presents Grease: The Singalong from 11:55 pm-12:55 am in Griffith Theater in the Bryan Center. Enjoy this classic musical and sing your favorite tunes! 

Athletics
Wednesday, January 28th
Duke Men's Basketball plays Wake Forest at 7:00 pm at Wake Forest. The game can be seen on ESPN and heard on Duke Radio.

Thursday, January 29th
Duke Women's Basketball plays Florida State at 7:00 pm at Florida State.

Sunday, February 1st
Duke Men's Basketball plays Virginia at 12:00 pm in Cameron Indoor.
