BSA Programs
The Programming Division will be having a BSAI Planning Meeting on Friday, February 20th at 5:00 pm in the BSA Office. This meeting is open to anyone who wants to be involved in any aspect of BSAI 2009.

BSA will present Late Registration on Thursday, February 26th at 7:00 pm in the Mary Lou Williams Center. This is a great opportunity to hear upperclassmen's thoughts about their classes so far at Duke. Upperclassmen: please remember to fill out survey questions and return to Kristina Broadie at ktb9@duke.edu.

The Duke Marine Lab will be having an information session from 3:00-4:00 pm in Old Chem 201. This is our chance to learn about classes and programs at Duke's Marine Lab in Beaufort, NC.

Career Opportunities
Monday, February 16th
The Career Center presents Fannie Mitchell Executive Director of Duke's Career Center, Bill Wright-Swadel, from 12:00-1:00 pm in the Mary Lou Williams Center. Hear about what has been happening in the job market over the past several months and have your questions answered.

Tuesday, February 17th
The Career Center presents Junior Jumpstart from 5:00-6:00 pm in 201 Flowers. This program will help juniors develop strategies and skills for success, regardless of your plans after graduation. Register at http://studentaffairs.duke.edu/d/?p=z2up.

Wednesday, February 18th
The Career Center presents Internship Funding Program 2009 Information Session from 4:00-5:00 pm in 201 Flowers. Learn how to reduce the financial challenges associated with participating in a wide range of low-paying or unpaid internships this summer. Attendance at one of the information sessions is required to be eligible for these grants. Contact Leslie Calihman Alabi at leslie.alabi@duke.edu if you are unable to attend.

Community Service Events
National Engineers Week Clothes Drive
The Pratt School of Engineering is sponsoring a clothes drive. Bring clean, lightly worn clothing to Hudson Hall Lobby for donation. There will be boxes marked by department for you to deposit your donation. All donations will be given to local charities at the end of the week.

Big Brothers Big Sisters will be having an information session from 6:30-8:00 pm in Allen 326.

Thursday, February 19th
Alpha Phi presents King of Hearts: Male Beauty Pageant from 7:00-9:00 pm in Page Audiotorium. Tickets can be purchased on the Plaza this week. Money raised in this pageant will be donated to women's cardiac care. The Pitchforks will be performing at this event.

Friday, February 20th
The Association for India's Development (AID) will be having a general body meeting from 4:00-5:30 pm in the Multicultural Center in the Bryan Center.

El Kilombo is hosting Cimarron Latin Night from 10:00 pm-2:00 am  at Club 9. Featuring Salsa, Merengue, Reggaeton, and Bachata music. Salso lessons will be taking place at 10:00 pm. Tickets are $5 with an RSVP to clubcimmaron@gmail.com and $10 at the door.

The Reginaldo Howard Memorial Scholars present "A Dream Fulfilled?: Barack Obama and the Prospects of a Post-Race America" from 6:00-8:00 pm in Von Canon. Considering our national culture, the global perspective, and life at Duke, how realistic is the notion that we have entered a post-race moment? What would that moment look like? What implications does this have for political movements and race relations moving forward?

Thursday, February 19th
El Kilombo presents Art & Revolution from 6:30 pm at El Kilombo Social Center (directions can be found at http://www.elkilombo.org/directionstospace/directions.html). This panel will celebrate the tradition of artwork that participates in remaking the world through the collective, creative process of building democratic practices. Fred Moten and Robin D. G. Kelley will be speaking.

Friday, February 20th
Today is the deadline to submit poetry, prose, art, and photography to The Archive for its Spring 2009 edition. Send submissions to dukearchive@gmail.com. In the e-mail, include the title of the work, your name, year, major/minor/certificate, e-mail, phone number, and campus PO box.

Saturday, February 21st and Sunday, February 22nd
Freewater Presentations presents Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa from on Saturday at 7:00 pm and 10:00 pm and on Sunday at 2:00 pm in Griffith Film Theater in the Bryan Center. Tickets can be purchased for $1.
