BSA Announcements
The Black Student Alliance would like to thank everyone for coming to our first general body meeting on Sunday. If you would like a copy of the agenda, please visit the BSA office in OSAF, or email Charrise at cmp15@duke.edu for more information.


If you are a freshman and would like to serve as freshmen representative on the BSA executive committee, please email vbd@duke.edu for an application. Applications are due September 10.

If you interested in applying for a position on the President's Council on Black Affairs (PCOBA), please email vbd@duke.edu for an application. Applications are due September 12.

The BSA Social Committee will have its first meeting on Friday, September 14 at 4:00 pm in the BSA Office, located in OSAF. Email Stephanie at sam38@duke.edu if you have any questions.

Applications for Healthy Devil Peer Educators due at noon. Healthy Devils are certified peer educators at Duke University who focus on promoting a positive campus environment and community that reflects the attitues, behaviors, and values of a healthy lifestyle. The Girls' Club Informational Meeting at 6:30 pm in the Women's Center. The Girls' Club is dedicated to providing a supportive social group for adolescent girls in the Durham community. To request an application to be a mentor, email Mary Via at mmv4@duke.edu

Applications for Wall Street 101 are due. On October 18th - 19th, Lehman Brothers is hosting an all-expense paid 2-day trip to New York for 25 talented sophomores who are interested in the financial services industry. If you are interested, please send a 2-paragraph cover letter, unofficial transcript, and resume to
recruiting@ml4t.org by September 14th.

Misc. Opportunities
Applications to join the Student Organization Finance Committee (SOFC) and the Auditing Committee of DSG are now available on the SOFC website (
http://student.groups.duke.edu/SOFC). Help the Duke Student Government responsibly distribute its $600, 000 yearly budget and represent new student organizations. Applications must be submitted to the DSG office of the Bryan Center by 5:00 pm on Monday September 17th.
